Our Story: Passion, Partnership, and Purpose

Green Mekong Lotus is the culmination of a shared journey between us, Tyler and Healther, built on a foundation of our mutual love for Southeast Asian cuisine. Based just outside of Philadelphia, we're on a mission to bring authentic flavors to our local community and beyond.

My journey began at age seven, and it evolved into a deep appreciation for how authentic, fresh ingredients can transform a meal—and well-being. That passion found its perfect match in Healther, and our kitchen became our workshop. What started as cooking together for fun quickly became a series of conversations about authenticity, accessibility, and quality.

In 2024, we observed a growing challenge: the local Asian grocery stores that served as vital community hubs were disappearing, and rising costs were making quality ingredients harder to find. We saw an opportunity to create a solution.

Green Mekong Lotus was founded to bridge that gap. We operate on a simple principle: connect kitchens directly to authentic sources with minimal overhead. From our home-based operation, we meticulously hand-select every product for its quality and authenticity. We taste, test, and hand-pack every order ourselves, ensuring it meets our own high standards for your table.

Our mission is to make it simple and convenient for everyone to enjoy cooking with fresh, authentic Southeast Asian ingredients. We believe in promoting healthier eating, reducing food waste, and fostering a sense of culinary exploration.
